League Details/Rules

General Knowledge League Dates:
1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30 (Cancelled due to weather), 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27
Themed Trivia Nights:
2/6 - Disney Trivia
3/6 - Friends Trivia
(Earn up to 40 bonus points for your team by attending themed nights)
How It Works:

Every team will be assigned a League Team Number on their first night of competition. Be sure to provide that number to the host each week so your points will be added to the team total.
Each week's competition will award standard prizes for the top three teams - but in addition every team's points will be added to the cumulative total for league standings.
Teams may have a maximum of 8 participants on any given night. League points are weighted based on the size of your team each night in the following manner:
- 1-4 players - 100% point value
- 5-6 players - 95% point value
- 7-8 players - 90% point value
- NOTE - Points are only weighted for League Standings, weekly prizes (1st, 2nd, 3rd) are awarded to the top three teams each night regardless of team size (maximum 8 players).
Bonus Point Opportunities:
- Earn 5 Bonus Points per team member in attendance for the first night of the tournament (January 9th) (Maximum 8 team members).
- Teams can earn up to 40 points points (5 points per player/Max 8 Players) by attending the monthly Themed Trivia Nights (February - Disney, March - Friends). Teams need not participate in the actual competition - points are awarded simply for showing up to support Shanahan's and your host (Mike) by hanging out and drinking/eating!
- Various other bonus points will be available throughout the competition - all opportunities will be posted on both this website and the Facebook event page.
As always, there is a strict no-cheating policy during trivia. If your team is caught cheating in any manner, it will be disqualified from winning that night, and may be disqualified from the entire tournament.
The grand prize (Vizio 50" 4K HDR TV) will be awarded after the competition on the final night of the league (March 27th). All league points will be awarded at 100% value on that night - so be sure to bring 8 people!
